Almost - 8/31/2010 - photo by Jay Capers
One of the ideas of this blog was a chance to talk about our jobs and what is sometimes not understood. As I was photographing Stan Miska of Pittsford taking pictures in the 20 acre field of sunflowers on Hopkins Farm on Calkins Road in Pittsford, I had a vision of this long lens, compressed photo. But Stan never moved back enough to see the camera in his hands, making this an almost picture. The biggest cardinal sin in photojournalism is setting up pictures, so I could not ask him to move or change what he was doing.
