Bill the Veteran - 10/24/2011 - Photo by Marie De Jesús 

This gentle looking man is Bill Ryan, an 87-years-old Marine Corps veteran of Victor. He was not the subject of our story, but I thought he was photogenic and I took extra photographs. Photos of Bill playing cards, a shallow depth of field close-up portrait, and Bill with his friends. This one was the winner for his body language and composition. I asked him, “Bill are you married,” and he proudly answered that he has been married more than 60 years.
