Homicide - 07/13/12- Photo by Kris J. Murante

I was at the scene of a double shooting, with one confirmed homicide, and the other critical. Often times, we are very far away from the scene and can only view the officers working the scene. We, the TV and print crews, end up chatting and waiting for the PIO (public information officer) to confirm details - which is always a long wait, due them gather said info. As I waited today, I heard a blood curdling scream, and as I looked down the street I saw a woman collapse in tears to the sidewalk, in front of the house where the shooting took place. I can only imagine, she got the worst news of her life this day.
