Refuge from the storm - 12/10/2009 - Photo by Annette Lein

A Franklin High School student looks out from the front door of the school during Thursday’s snowstorm.  The snow was raging outside while students were waiting for their busses or their rides at the end of the school day.  I was leaving the school after shooting another assignment and turned to look back at the school as I was getting into my car, and there was this student staring back at me.  I made two frames for myself and was on my way  back into the snowy traffic gridlock on the city’s streets.
