This is one of those photos I didn’t think I would get because the subject went right to the podium and started talking but nothing else seemed like would happen (besides signing autographs later). Red Wings great and Baseball Hall of Famer Cal Ripken Jr. plays with a baseball ball as his first pitch is being auctioned after speaking during the luncheon at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center. Baseball in hand, suited like a politician and holding his book like a preacher.
