Part of the idea of this blog is to explain to readers what we do as newspaper photographers. This image is from an assignment to photograph Henrietta Recreation Department staffers preparing for their New Year’s Eve party at the Dome Center. As photographers, we spent a lot of time, being patient, waiting for a moment, so when the ladies decided to “test” the darts set-up and reacted to the shot, I knew I had the picture I wanted, after a hour and half of waiting and watching.
