Klein Steel - 12/29/09 - photo by Will Yurman
Sometimes photographers are like kittens and small children - drawn to sparkly things. I’ve photographed at Klein Steel Services many times over the years. It is a huge operation producing metal parts on a giant scale. But much of the work is automated, monitored by workers sitting at computer screens. So when sparks fly and someone is doing hands on welding there is an impulse to rush across the factory floor before they stop. Mike Keliher was welding together a container that will be used to hold some of the inventory in the factory.
