Lake Ave fire - 01/14/2010 - Photo by Annette Lein

Rochester firefighters battle a blaze at 562 Lake Ave at the Lake Ave Coin Laundry Thursday afternoon. I always try to to find a bit of a different picture at news events.  Shooting fires are often just a matter of getting there in time to actually get the height of the action.  After I make the initial scene setting images, I try to look for something more interesting.  In this photo I like the silhouette of the firefighter at left and the slight rainbow that appears at right.
