Sixth graders at St. Rita’s School in Webster held a ceremony to honor veterans Thursday afternoon. In the audience was Michael Hussar, a refueler in the Air Force during WWII. Hussar was straining to hear a Korean War vet speak to the children about what it means to serve America and that freedoms we enjoy come with responsibility. The photo of Hussar reminds me to take time to listen, even to words I’ve hared many times before. This weekend is Veterans Day don’t forget to listen to those who have served our country.
