16 surfers came to compete on the Rochester First Surfing Event on Lake Ontario. Some are locals, but other came from Toronto. First it was sunny, then we got some light snow, then back sunny, but at all times the wind on the lake was brutal. Still the all-year round surfers enjoyed the waves like it was a nice summer day on Hawaii. This is not the first time I photograph our local wave riders, still their impetus amazes me every single time.
