The man accused of fatally shooting a 15-year-old boy in the head Tuesday night pleaded not guilty at his arraignment in Rochester City Court this morning.

During an emotional court appearance, family and friends of Williams and victim Christopher Newton watched as Williams pleaded not guilty and was ordered to jail without bail. He is scheduled to attend a preliminary hearing at 11 a.m. March 23.
Several members of Williams’ family wailed and called out to Williams as he stood before City Court Judge Stephen Miller to face the charges.

This was the scene outside Rochester City Court as the two families exited after the hearing. It was a very tense and emotional place to be.
