I watched as Spencerport’s Abby Amering hustled down to first base after her hit, then she overran the base, and had to dive back to first to avoid being tagged out. Luckily for her she was safe. There aren’t a whole lot of interesting plays at first base, but I liked her slightly embarrassed smile as she looked up as the play ended.
